Aberdeen, SD-Come Be Our Guest to Celebrate the Life of Erin Lynn French, 36, of Aberdeen from 12:00 pm (Noon) to 6:00 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2022, at AmericInn – The Saints Room. Anyone whose life was touched by Erin, please come share memories. Erin’s favorite snacks will be served.
Erin died April 24, 2022, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital.
Erin Lynn, daughter of Dale and Evonne (Addison) French was born September 2, 1985, at Huron, SD. She grew up in Doland, SD and in 1995, her family moved to Redfield. In 1999, her family moved to Huron where Erin was active in Special Olympics, participating in track and field and bowling. She graduated from Huron High School with the class of 2007.
On April 1, 2013, Erin moved to Aberdeen and became a person supported by Aspire. She enjoyed Special Olympics over the years and a trip to Storybook Land was special and she always had to ride the train. She loved family get-togethers, motorcycle rides, attending Aberdeen Aqua Addicts Ski Shows and trips to Dairy Queen. For those who knew and loved her, they knew her favorite color was Orange.
Grateful for having shared Erin’s life are her father, Dale French of Aberdeen; mother, Evonne May of Aberdeen; sisters, Carla Addison, and Tara Gaulrapp, both of Aberdeen; brother, Robert (Kellie) French of Aberdeen; stepbrother, TJ May of Aberdeen, and nieces and nephew, Kelsey Gaulrapp, Quinton Samelson-Coe, Meredith French, and Hallie French.
She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents and stepfather, Dale “Buddy” May.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be used to purchase a dedication memorial at Storybook Land in Memory of Erin.
