Ervin Adam Joachim, 78, of Watertown, SD, formerly of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Avantara Clark, SD.
Memorial Service will be 1:00 PM. Thursday, September 8th, 2022, at Carlsen Funeral Home, Aberdeen. Pastor Mike Jacobson will be officiating. Visitation will be 1 HR prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
Ervin Adam Joachim was born December, 10, 1943, to Adam and Mildred (Wittmeyer) Joachim in Dawson County, Montana. He was raised in Eureka, SD, and graduated from Eureka High School in 1962. He attended Black Hills State College until he was drafted into the Army in 1965. He was honorably discharged in 1967.
Following his service, he lived in Las Vegas, Nevada for many years. In 1998, he moved back to Aberdeen, SD. Ervin worked various jobs in Aberdeen including Ryan’s Candy. He then moved to Watertown, SD, and worked at Menards.
Ervin enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers and watching all sports on TV. He also enjoyed visiting his friends at the Magic Mile Casino. In November 2021, he moved into Meadow Lakes Assisted Living Center and enjoyed the staff there.
Grateful for having shared Ervin’s life are his nephews: Evan(Tara) Vostad of Aberdeen, SD, and Eric (Debbie) Vostad of Sioux Falls, SD; niece Renee (Jayson) Maguire of Watertwon, SD; and great nieces and nephews: Brent Vostad, Jeremiah Vostad, Erica Vostad, Briana Maguire, and Sydney Maguire.
Ervin was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Vostad;and brothers: Floyd Joachim and Lloyd Joachim.
