George Henry Mogle, 97, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Bethesda Home in Aberdeen.
George’s wishes were to be cremated and no formal services will be held.
He will be laid to rest beside his wife Gladys at a later date in the Flandreau Cemetery.

George Henry Mogle was born on October 18, 1925, to Ralph and Flora (Roberts) Mogle in Pipestone County, MN. He grew up on the family farm east of Flandreau. George attended Hess #6 Country School. He farmed and worked in ag-related businesses until his retirement from Flandreau Cenex. George enjoyed fishing, puzzles, playing pool, and winning at cards.
Grateful for having shared “Papa George’s” life are his son, Dean of Cincinnati, OH, his daughter Nancy and husband Mike Barondeau of Aberdeen, SD; grandson Benjamin and wife Tasiyagnunpa and their children, Evangelina, Miles, Gavin, Caedmon, and Archer of Brookings, SD; grandson Matthew and wife Angela and their daughters, Sophia and Olivia of Crestwood, KY; Stepchildren Dennis Janke, and Janis Hone and their families; and many nieces and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his parents; his wives Gladys and Albertha, and two sisters; Leola and Beulah.
